Music… Life wouldn’t be the same without it.
The word “Opusaria” comes from combining two words:
Opus: any artistic work, especially on a large scale.
Aria: a piece of music for one or two voices.
Opusaria is a melodic rock band with similarities to Eagles, Journey, Peter Frampton, Thin Lizzy and a little bit of Pink Floyd, but above all else their music is focused on writing catchy melodies and endless harmonies. Based in SE Minnesota, this collection of talented musicians, led by Drew Jared (previously with The Bridge, a.k.a. Infinity Bridge) released their full-length debut album in December 2022 with a collection of guitar-driven melodic rock, acoustic-folk-rock, and rock ballads with three Special Guest appearances:
- Jay Soto is a nationally recognized Smooth Jazz artist with six albums released since 2005, and had a top 5 hit on Radio and Records Smooth Jazz Chart with “Slammin”. He is a co-producer & mixing engineer, and plays impressive lead guitar on Blossom Queen, Just Be… BOLD, and Feelin’ Fine.
- Neamen Lyles is also a Smooth Jazz artist and session player with two full-length albums available. He currently performs at Jazz festivals and is working on a new release for Innervision Records. His expressive saxophone playing is heard on the Smooth Jazz inspired love ballad, Truly (First Dance).
- Bruce Gary (RIP) who was the drummer for The Knack, best known for the #1 Billboard Hot 100 song “My Sharona”. His solid drumming can be heard on Just Be… BOLD and Pictures On A Wall.
- Standout tracks include:
- Living Life – A fast-paced rock anthem for standing up for who you are and what you believe in, and having fun along the way in this crazy life!
- Blossom Queen – A progressive rock solo from Jay Soto is the crown jewel of this fun, vocal-harmony-heavy tune.
- Just Be… BOLD – Life’s journey is hardly worth the effort if you can’t live BOLD!
- Fly Free – A tribute to fallen Service Members who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice for the USA.
- Love Is Real – A rock ballad with a string quartet intro leading to emotive guitar leads as they weave through a tall tale of finding, losing & reclaiming Love.
- Brave Like Gabe – A tribute to Minnesota native Gabriele Grunewald (please visit the BraveLikeGabe.org Foundation for more info) who was diagnosed with and recently died from a rare form of cancer. Many television tributes to her courage and determination were aired after her passing, documenting her struggles before, during and after her 4th-place finish in the 2012 US Olympic Trials and a USA Championship title in the indoor 3,000-meters in 2014.
We’ve been working on our 2nd album, Overdrive, for the past 18 months and expect to start releasing singles from the album starting in October, 2024.
A full-length CD will be available in very limited quantities in early 2025.
Thanks for listening!
